Truths We Confess
An Introduction to Systematic Theology for the Christian Life
“Christian, What Do You Believe?” We ask this question every week before reciting The Apostle’s Creed. Our corporate confession answers the question, but would you be able to expound further upon these core doctrines of our faith?
This 6-week course will examine key theological concepts that have shaped the Reformed tradition, exploring what we believe, why we believe it, and how it applies to our daily lives.
We will meet in person on Sun mornings (11:00 AM - 12:15 PM) from April 12 to May 17. Childcare will be provided, but you must register by March 29 to guarantee the availability of childcare providers.

A Life of Generosity: Wisdom for Financial Discipleship
A Life of Generosity: Wisdom for Financial Discipleship
The way we steward our resources is one of the most tangible expressions of our faith, yet it’s often one of the least talked-about topics in the church. This four-week course explores the biblical foundations of generosity and the practical habits that shape faithful financial discipleship. Together, we’ll examine what it means to steward the resources that God has entrusted to us with wisdom, freedom, and joy.
Through Scripture, guided discussions, and real-life practices, we’ll learn how the gospel reshapes our relationship with money, moves us toward greater generosity, and invites us into participating in God’s work in the world. Whether you’re seeking clarity, healing, or new rhythms in your financial life, this course offers a safe and engaging space to grow.
We will meet in person for 4 Monday evenings (6:30 PM - 8:00 PM) from March 2 - March 23. Dinner will not be provided, but the church will be open by 6 PM, and you are welcome to bring your dinner and eat together

COMPASSION AND CITY LIVING: Cultivating a Life of Mercy
Throughout the Bible, God shows us his heart for the needy and vulnerable. In the Old Testament, God calls on Israel to advocate for the downtrodden and oppressed. In the New Testament, Jesus dedicates much of his ministry to those on the margins of society - the widow, the orphan, the sojourner, or the poor. As followers of Jesus, many of us encounter needs in our city and want to love as God does, but don’t always know how to respond or where to start.
This seminar will explore the significance of mercy to the heart of God and offer resources to help you better respond to needs in your community. Together we will discuss biblical foundations for the discipline of compassion, the unique challenges of city life, and some practical ways we can respond.
We will meet in person from 9 AM - 11 AM. Childcare will be provided, but you must register by February 7 to guarantee availability.
Please register below and email us if you have any questions!
Salt and Light: Gospel Living in the Workplace

You will be encouraged to consider how Keller’s approach to faith, vocation, and cultural engagement can shape the way we live out—and share—the gospel in today’s marketplace
When: Thursday, Feb 19

Faith & Work Chicago: Salt & Light
Faithful Witness in a Polarized World
In our present moment of deep division and political tension, how can Christians be Salt and Light in their workplaces? Join Faith & Work Chicago for a morning with Kaitlyn Schiess—author, speaker, and public theologian—as we explore how to represent Christ with wisdom, humility, and grace in these turbulent times.
Kaitlyn’s work on faith, politics, and public life offers a compelling vision for Christian engagement marked by wisdom and grace. Drawing from her books The Ballot and the Bible and The Liturgy of Politics, she will help us consider how the gospel shapes our conversations, relationships, and integrity at work and how we can be faithful witnesses even in our polarized public spaces.

OPEN FORUM: C.S. Lewis and the Transforming Power of Imagination
C.S. Lewis’s enduring influence lies not only in his intellect but in his extraordinary ability to use imagination to convey truth, challenge assumptions, and open readers to new ways of seeing the world. From the magical lands of Narnia to the visionary journeys of The Great Divorce, Lewis crafted stories that reveal spiritual realities, illuminate moral truths, and awaken the human imagination.
Join us for an evening with C.S. Lewis scholar, Dr. Jerry Root, as we consider how imagination shapes faith, informs reason, and transforms the way we perceive God’s world —offering insight not only for readers of Lewis, but for anyone seeking to understand the power of story in our cultural moment.
